Another newbie

Hi. Wow. I don't even feel like to need to introduce myself. My story is too much like other ones I've read here.

I'm 49, and have 5 kids age 22 down to 14. I've been separated from my husband for nearly a year. I filed for divorce in November. I've homeschooled since my oldest was in 3rd grade because they all have learning disabilities.

My husband was verbally and emotionally abusive. A total micromanager. Y'all can fill in the blanks.

The divorce is talking a long time because he and his brother own a successful business. Even though he doesn't like it, in our state it's community property.

It ought to. I did my research and hired an excellent lawyer. :D
