I've been reading NLQ since the beginning. I do not think I express myself well, so I don't post or comment. I've been misunderstood enough times that its easier just to keep my ideas to myself.
I found this site while being intrigued by the Duggars and their lifestyle. I'm sure I got here through TWOP or free jinger. I lived in the general area of Vyckie so that is what hooked me on this site. I had also read the Nebraska Family Times a couple times.
In the late 90's - early 2000's I frequented a chat room for single Christians and was exposed to a couple of men looking for woman to live this type of lifestyle. They directed me to some sites I wish I could remember now, probably Gothard or Vision Forum.
I also read books on attracting a Godly man, which of course is being a Godly, Proverbs 31 woman. I wish I could remember some of the titles or authors. I do remember one by Bunny
I think that was more fundie lite.
Any way there were no churches in the part of Nebraska I lived at the time that was "like minded". One of my chat room friends actually looked for me on-line. I suppose these experiences also led to my interest in the Duggars. At the time I was open to enter into a relationship with one of these men. Yes, he was in a Bible college studying to be a Baptist pastor.
At this moment I am not religious. I attend a liberal church with my husband and 2 kids. If you note a lot of negativity toward myself in this post, I'm sure it has something to do with my problems with depression. (yes, my chat room friend let me know that my depression was just the devil deceiving me.) I currently do not work due to these problems.
