I folund this post by reading from another forum :

Or perhaps I found it on the forum:

Since it has been a few days I have been reading Vicki's story and eventually found this forum I can not recall which of the two forums had a link to her orginal forum.
I have been reading about the Duggars for a few years, ever since they started to make specials with 14 kids and counting. I find their family fasinating. I have mix feelings about the entire movement. Personally I would never fit in the Quiverfull movement, at least not wanting to be part of Bill Gothard's group. I had a bad experience in my earlier years when Bill Gothard was just beginning.
I was employed as a Spanish teacher at a private Baptist school in the Fall of 1973. At that time I had six years of higher education. I was a graduate of a 4 year Bible schoo, Prairie Bible Institute and had 2 years of attending Arizona State University. I was enrolled there studying to become a Spanish teacher. I ended up getting a job as a teacher in this Christian school before getting my BA in education. I wanted to teach and was hired before I finished my BA program. I loved my job but half way through the shcool year the principle/pastor grew to be a controler after he attended a Basic Youth Conflict conference. He wanted to completely control me being I was single and not living at home. I was employed out of state and after the school year ended I renturned home to Arizona. I lived with my mother and returned to ASU. After I graudated I bought a home and had my mother live with me as she was single.
I was raised by a single mother who divorced my dad when I was five. My mom was a Christian and sent us to a Baptist church were I grew up knowing the Word from a young age. I loved God and went to Bible school after graduating from high school. I did not get married untill I was 36. At the time I married I had bought a home and had taught several years in the public school system and had two master degrees in Education.
I married a Christian , a man almost 7 years younger. He did not have the same degree of education as I did but he came from a solid intact family and had a great relationship with his parents.
We married and after five years adopted our one and only child, Darlene. When Darlene was still in preschool I stopped teaching after 20 years in the public school system. Darlene attended public school for a few years but was having problems due to a learning disablity. So I ended up homeschooling her as she has always wanted me to be her teacher. As I homeschooled her I also homeschooled my younger sister's first grandchild who was six months younger than Darlene. I homeschooled the two girls and joined a few homeschooling Christian groups. None of them were quiver full groups or in any way related to Bill Gothard. Yet, they were conserative. As I homeschooled I added to my daily teaching at home my sister's younger grandchildren as her oldest daughter added to her family. All was going well and I was hoping to mentor my niece to include her in the homeschooling as I had 3 out of her 4 children. That never happened as she died of breast cancer. Soon I ended up putting Darlene in a charter school and returned to school myself. Darlene just graduated from high school this week and yesterday I enrolled her in a vocational school.
That is the bones of my story. Like Vicki, I can write a book but I am not here to do that. I just want to know more about those who were once into a movement much like what the Duggars are in as to get a inside look of what their lives are really like. I pray that the Duggars are who they say they are and that their kids will grow up and be "wholesome".
