Hi there, non-quiverers! I'm Madame Rousseau, the Spanish-American married to the South African-German with the French surname. We have three children.
I stay at home with the children, don't homeschool ( it's illegal here), I used to believe quiverfull was the only lifestyle that could please God, but after my 2nd child, we decided maybe birth control wasn't of the devil after all (and soothers either, although sometimes I find myself cursing those plastic things with the rubber teat when I can't find one at bedtime...)
I used to define myself as a Fundamentalist Christian, now I'm unsure as to what is true and what not, what applies today and what not. Christianity can be freedom, or it can be something we call freedom but is really exchanging one set of shackles for another. For me, it's been more about keeping the shackles from cutting into my ankles, while learning how to walk down the narrow and straight, following the leader. I didn't do very well, so I'm not trying. Currently, I don't have a church I call home. Hubby's a pastor.
I'm enjoying Vyckie's and Laura's stories. Keep em coming!

Hi Madame, Your perspective as the grown daughter of a Quiver Full family is enlightening. You are helping me to imagine the possible future impact and perspectives of my own daughters. And I'm glad you are so wise and level headed. That gives me lots of Hope Love, Charis
