Hi, I'm Sigh. I joined the forums a while ago, but have not posted until now.
Anyway. I've been following Vyckie's and Laura's blog from pretty early on, and am finding it really engaging, so thought I'd head over here.
I'm 30 years old, an atheist, feminist, socialist. I went back to university recently, and am half way through a degree majoring in politics. I'm really interested in the relationship between religion and politics in the United States (I'm Australian), particularly the nationalism that seems to be a major part of conservative american christianity. I'm also interested in the politics of abortion and reproductive health (I should add here that I'm very pro-choice).
This just seems like such an amazing group of intelligent women with such diverse perspectives, and it would be really nice to perhaps be able to take part in some of that...
