Hi, I'm Willow. My fundie quiverfull experience has a Seventh Day Adventist twist. Four daughters who are now 15, 15 , 17 and 22. Three youngest baptised in the most liberal Episcopal Church in North West Arkansas. (They wanted Baptism and I wanted a no hell fire and brimstone place for them to go). I haven't spoken to God(dess?) since 1993. I think the we've come to a mutual non agression pact :)

welcome willow! My family is Seventh day Adventist as well... Adventism can push the "countercultural" and "insular" thing even farther than many because of the pretty obvious differentiating factor of "we don't do anything secular on Saturday, we don't go to church on Sunday." And then there are the little traditions such as "no swimming on saturday" which historically was "no bathing on saturday," and the strong push towards religious veganism and an unhealthy obsession with "health foods." Plus the whole modern-prophet deal. I would very much like to hear more of your story. I'm currently finishing my undergraduate physics/math major at Andrews University, it's been REALLY DIFFICULT since I became an atheist.... but I'll be done tomorrow Marched yesterday but had a couple assignments outstanding still....
