Hi all - I've been reading this blog since the Salon story, and I've been finding it totally fascinating. I finally decided to register today so I can post comments, but don't be surprised if you don't see too much of me, I'm not always the most talkative. 
I'm an atheist (and a feminist!), but I'm always really interested in religion and the various effects it has on people's lives, so this forum is great. Thanks for starting it up!
