Hi, I'm Em. I, thankfully, don't have any connection to this crap. But being a TLC addict, I ended up watching a marathon of 17 Kids and Counting last Christmas when I was in bed sick. I was kind of drawn in (they seem like nice, decent, kind people, and I come from a pretty religious Catholic family), and kind of appalled at the complete lack of freedom those poor kids have. I was kinda scared when I found out that they're actually somewhat tame compared to other families. Anyway, out of that came finding this blog. I immediately became engrossed in Vycki and Laura's stories (and the others after they started posting). What a horrible, horrible situation; my heart really breaks for all of you who have had to put up with this kind of treatment just because you're a female. It's sick.
