Hi everyone. My name is Kay. I've been lurking a lot on the NLQ blog, but haven't really posted much.

I'm an atheist who used to be pretty religious in my teens. I don't have any children yet, but wouldn't mind some after I've finished college. Not married yet either, but I have been in a serious monogamous relationship for the past year and a half with a great guy who has already informed me he does not like the idea of being "head of the household" or any for of patriarchy.

As I said, I'm in college working on a civil engineering degree in an attempt to make the world a better place, one small sustainable step at a time
