Eheh, hi. I found the blog originally through the Salon.com article ages ago and followed it when it moved twice. Short story, long time reader, first time poster, will likely end up lurking again.
Anyway, as the username suggests, I am named Susan, and I work for a domestic violence shelter. I've recently given the caseworker at work my copy of that Quiverfull book I've seen mentioned on this blog and the address for the site, because I believe there's much to be learned about spiritual abuse from Vyckie's and everyone else's stories here. Knowledge is power and all that, after all.
I've never had any brushes with abuse or religious patriarchy directly, but between my job and my fascination with religion, well... here I am, still reading.
And, uh, I have no idea how to end this, so I'll just stop rambling right here. Best of luck with everything, everyone!
