Hi, I'm Lolly. I found this site through the Razing Ruth blog and a general attempt to catch up with Duggar news.

I have hardly any personal experience with Quiverfull teachings – I grew up in a relatively liberal Christian environment, and I suppose that 'agnostic' is the best word to describe my current state of mind. For a few years, I've had an appalled fascination with a lifestyle that contains extreme examples of the things I had problems with in mainstream Christianity, and admiration for the people who rescued themselves from it. Even as an 'outsider', I'm very relieved that this site exists.

Due to lack of experience, I'm mostly here to lurk and learn. However, there's at least one question I'd like to ask, and I haven't seen it in your FAQ yet. Is there a board or a thread for general questions about the Quiverfull movement?

I was raised fundamentalist -- and now see myself as more liberal, too. We've begun attending an Episcopal Church -- what "denomination" of liberal are you most drawn to?

Susan, thanks for the tip! As for denominations: the church I went to was United Reformed. I have close to no idea how various denominations differ from one another, but what I really liked about that church was the effort they put into creating a 'safe', non-judgemental environment for all sorts of people, and that nobody discouraged me from asking difficult questions while I was there. It goes without saying that that attitude spans more than one denomination (although at the moment I'll have to plead ignorance about all their names ;D).
