I have been pressured into creating an account, by WanderingOne (my dear friend, for whose corruption I am in part responsible) and others in the chat room. So I suppose I should post an introduction. I am the utterly terrifying ex-fundie atheist pro-abortion radical feminist pothead hedonistic carousing anarcho-capitalist schizo witchy gay boy. I also am blasphemous. but not as scary as I could be because I am not liberal.
aaaanyway. I am a friend of WanderingOne. I was homeschooled until high school, then went to Christian school for that. I came to college believing that the earth is 6000 years old and that I was going to hell. I fairly quickly disabused myself of those beliefs and set about becoming the intimidating exaparfphcacswgb that I am today.

Question for you, exaparfphcacswgb ~ isn't Ron Paul somehow associated with Rushdooney, North, Phillips, et. al. ~ iow, dominionist, reconstructionist? I know he's a libertarian ~ but it seems like he also has a theocratic bent.

I know he's a libertarian ~ but it seems like he also has a theocratic bent. I know that dominionists supported him and endorsed him, but nothing I have read or heard by him has sounded dominionsist. He was also endorsed by some other pretty awful groups--but nothing he said lined up with the awfulness they were spouting. I could be wrong--but I've read him talking about religion and haven't gotten any dominionist vibe from it. |
