I am finally free from the tyranny of the patriocentric lifestyle and enjoying the freedom in Christ that my new lifestyle affords!! I can't share any specifics about myself and family due to my stalker...er, ex-husband still attempting to make life miserable for me.

My story is very similar to all the others here - We were never good enough, the kids and I were emotionally and sexually abused, the house revolved around what dad wanted, implied he wanted, hinted he wanted or more likely what we guessed he might want. We spent our days fretting over when his next blow up would be and how long the tirade would last.

The kids and I are growing by leaps and bounds and having lots and lots of fun. I love reading here and being affirmed - these things really did happen to me and they really were horrendous. Thanks for a great website and a great forum.

yay! glad you're here and safe and free. I can't imagine what it must be like from a parent's perspective, your kids must be very relieved not to be walking on eggshells.
