Humbletigger,
I hope, you see this,
I just thought of it while reading, I KNOW a woman, who would be a Tremendous help to your friend,
her name is Molleth, online, let me see If she still posts, Yes! I found it, actually Remembered it,
the blog is: adventuresinmercy.wordpress.com/
Look she knows Exactly, what that is, the world a Christian woman believes in falling in around her/abusive husband, etc., I use to read her blog, anyway,
she is Awesome, has a LOT of WISDOM, tactful, would be a Really good support for your friend. I would think she might be able to assist at least in some encouragement,
if anything, just have your friend read over her blog and her story, she has a lot of jewels of wisdom, both in healing, facing up to abuse, facing up to reality, and child rearing in loving way.
I strongly recommend her blog. She just has a gift. You know that isn't my gift, where that is concerned, I try but you know, not all of us are gifted in those areas and it's not one of mine,
which is O.K., my area is advocacy for human rights, sometimes I can share from my own and maybe, maybe someone can gain something, but you are right,
when one is hurting, especially in a religious environment, even with good intents, one that has come through and still faith in tact, sometimes it's just not the Time, for one to hear that, I understand, believe me I've been there...for Different Reasons though, but I do understand.
It really is an individual journey, through these murky waters. And a messy one at that--granted,
add that to the class differences [one area that really peeves me--and even Within those there are discriminatory obstacles women must contend with, depending] and it's just doubly hard,
but Molleth had several children and sounds like, very similar situ, and I do know, she wrote a lot about the difficulties in seeing the reality contrasted to the IDEAL, if you know what I mean.
So, check out her blog, don't know if she writes as much but I know she does write, at least I think she does, on Twitter. Her testimony though, your friend I think would gain a lot of support from.
In solidarity,
Jane
