Okay ~ we have our first NLQ FAQ posted on the No Longer Quivering blog: Q. What resources are available for former Quiverfull parents seeking to retain/gain legal custody of their children? "Dogemperor" from Dark Christianity has written a helpful guest post in response to this question here: 2spb.blogspot.com/2009/05/nlq-faq-custody-issues-for-ex.html

This isn't specifically related to custody issues, but: As well as the LiveJournal communities that dogemperor recommended, I suggest the fairly new community Reclaiming Sex, which is for people who are trying to reclaim their sexuality after experiences with strict religion. There is also Wounded Warriors, a community for spiritual abuse survivors. Reclaiming Sex is a lot more active than Wounded Warriors right now, but I'd love to see Wounded Warriors perk up a bit.

Also, could we have this thread moved into the "Latest from NLQ Blog" section? I had trouble finding it.

Regarding finding a lawyer, go to your favorite search engine and search for "legal clinic" and your city name.
This should direct you to places where/when you can find low-cost and/or pro bono legal services.

There were some great links in that post! Thank you...I think. I surfed the net via those links for an extra hour last night... ;D Really really good stuff. Two thumbs up to Dogemperor.

Yeah, I followed links until I realized it was *really* late. I'm so glad you got Dogemperor to post.
